Learning Academy
Short, hands-on modules on how buildings actually resist what the weather does to them. Built by the people who draw the connection details, for builders, designers and anyone who wants to understand why a structure holds — or doesn’t.
StormBuild
Wind does not pull a building apart at its strongest point. It pulls it apart at the connections. Place the right connector at every joint, inspect your work, then run the structure up a wind ramp and watch where the load path breaks.
- 01The RoofConnections, not strength
- 02Wind UpliftSuction lifts roofs off
- 03Load PathRoof to wall to frame to ground
- 04Weak PointsSpend material where the load goes
- 05Code ChallengeCheck requirements before building
In development
- Team mode — Designer, Builder and Inspector on one structure
- Hip and mono-slope roofs, and what an open garage door does
- Windward vs. leeward, and internal pressure from a broken opening
- Animated force arrows tracing roof to ground
Learning note. Academy modules are simulations of structural concepts, built for teaching. They are not design tools, and the in-game checklists are not building codes. Real construction follows the adopted building code, engineered plans, manufacturer product listings and local regulations. For a project, talk to us.
